The user can then click on any stock’s name to view the details like previous high/low, market cap. etc. The user can also edit his current holdings in that particular stock, every such transaction is stored in the native database and in the next version we will allow the user to view the complete history of his transactions in that particular stock.

Membership Platforms

August 20, 2010 in Amember, Software by Ankita

The Market has become extremely sensitive. That has meant, that the Seller needs to segment the market, meaning more involvement. Then again, a research on the customer buying behavior. A marketeer’s opinion- the user doesn’t want to pay for recurring invoices when its a small amount incurred, however the same buyer would rather pay in installments when it came to larger amount.

These structure basically mean that when you go online one needs to implement these very strategies. The other day we were simultaneously discussing with two clients, geographically separate, different user groups, with different strategies. Both the clients were interested in Third Party Software Integrations. Why? Well that discussion shall be taken up separately, but quite simply two reasons- Cost effective, and quicker development!

What we were discussing quite simply came down to two Client Types. One, an enterprise level company, and a willing to explore more avenues with staff to deploy for Software Administration, and the other a Small and Medium enterprise focused at quicker turn around, and dependent on thyself and minimalistic employee involvement.

What came out as an outcome where two software’s, made for each client- AmemberWishlist, where selected. Each of them having their own set of features, provided an ideal environment for each targeted market these clients were targeting

Amember (with the latest aMember Pro 3.1.9)- for the next generation Enterprise

Easy to use, installation comes free, Open source platform, integrates with 40 different types of apps, Integration with Drupal, Joomla etc. Host of features- Multi-type membership, file-restriction, Affiliate, cron settings, recurring billing, Integrated with- eway, authorize.net, paypal, google checkout.

Wishlist Member- for the Entrepreneur

Again easy to install, seamless and made to order integration with Wordpress (The Blogging platform), Sequential upgrade, content permission, Paypal and codex integration.

Accounts Receivable Process

August 19, 2010 in FAO by Ankita

A process that directly impacts the Cash Flow of the company, Accounts Receivable process helps enterprises as well as SME’s to ensure that clients pay up withing the stipulated “Credit Period”. Every business follows their own credit policy set across by the Management. The Credit Periods vary from week to 45 days, depending on the categorization/ classification of the clients, based on relationship,  type of business, rotational and repeat purchasing power. These parameters are considered by the Management and a Credit period awarded to the Client.

These Categorizations/ classifications at times are given grade’s such as A, B, C etc. ‘A’ being least bothering client who always pay on time and require least bit of follow ups. ‘B’ being the ones that need to be followed up using simple medium of communications such as e-mails. ‘C’ is considered a difficult client, and needs follow up with a number of different forms of communication such as e-mail, phone, and extended to notice’s.

Accounts Receivable is a process, and the Accounts receivable collection is triggered as soon as the “Credit Period” lapses for a client. Followups with e-mails is the most common form of communication medium. As such since Accounts receivable Collection is simply the way of collecting or recovering payments from “B” and “C” category clients (described above).

The process is an essential part of any business, since its this very system that always acts as a lubricant and fuel to the company, having responsibility to pay-up its vendor’s, individuals, employees, and creditors. Its the same process that enables the company to pay up rents, salaries, running-expenditures etc. Its as important a process as is Sales and Marketing for the successful running & the growth of the company.

Before starting the Collection process, its always important to go through the MoU’s and Agreements with these clients, other than the Case history’s. Say, if the credit terms include last interest fees the exact amount of interest needs to be collected, while raising the Invoice. Professional and process oriented practices should be employed for collection, which includes communicating meaningfully and ethically with the concerned person, ensuring that the company maintain a good relationship at the end of the day & not diminish the image of the company’s image  at the same time ensuring that the dues are settled.

Accounts Receivable is a Process oriented micro-function that every company has to follow at some point in time. These processes some times are Outsourced to company’s who have expertise and the competency to handle such Processes. Such engagements are called Accounts Receivable Outsourcing. Among other industries Medical & Healthcare, Insurance companies that essentially require the processes to be Outsourced, in keeping with the bulk of Payment recovery that is required from their clients.
